I'm excited. I'm meeting a lady on Thursday to buy a lens I've been shopping online for, but don't have the patience to wait for shipping. And if I get it from her, it'll be like 30 bucks cheaper than buying it online -- just means no warranty or anything.

I'm getting the Canon EF 55mm F/1.8 II, and I've read rave reviews about it and I think it can really up the anty on my photography better than the old standard kit lens.

So here's hoping I'll take better, more pictures in the future Especially with the Japanese students coming up!

I think I am such a person :/ I developed a roll of film and tried to do the cheap method of scanning it into my computer using the LCD screen set at white and my SLR, but the picture is either too dark, or when I make it a positive it's undecipherable as to what it is :/

Wondering if I shouldn't just dish out the money for a CD next time I develop one of these bad boys.


I've had these films for a long time...I wonder if not developing them awhile affects the chemicals...

A camera

It's not a polaroid like my last journal had wanted, but it comes close and is quite better, I think!

Ordered the Diana Mini from Lomography's website and I am very excited!

In other news, I'm starting the rigorous art class at my college this semester and I am terrified. I hear it's exhausting, and I fear I'm not creative enough. Our very first project begins the starting week and it's cardboard sculpting and I haven't made a sculpture since middle school, and even then it was clay and not cardboard, so I'm a little trepid >.>

BUT I'm getting a cute new camera So yipee. I'm going to be getting a shoe box and filling it with stuff to send my online gf(ooh scandalous lol) It's nothing serious, it's just an emotional relationship. Besides, she's tall enough to be a man so no lesbophobes get yer panties in a twist, though I don't recall anyone like that watching me so we're good. And this relates to the camera because I wanted to like get Texas stuff pictures like flags and bluebonnets and the like to send to her so she has pictures of texas

And the diana mini has multiple exposure sooooooo that's something to be excited about And like it's pretty cheap, IMO. The camera body is 59 dollars. I'm sure it's the film that costs a lot. But I don't care D<


Also, I might....change my major from Art/Photography. I think I shall try to be an elementary school teacher and do Photography in the summer instead I've always wanted to be a kindergarten teacher anyway.

I really wanna get an "old fashioned" polaroid camera to play around with. I need brand/model suggestions o3o And please be inexpensive. I've found a bunch on amazon that are in the teens in price, but I just need to know which ones are generally nice to use.
